Tis the season

We are on our third or fourth illness since the start of viral illness season. Unfortunately, we spent Thanksgiving with a sick kiddo, and now Jack and I are sick.
Just a heads up for other parents, if your kid is on Cefdinir and has an iron rich diet (hello, infant formula) beware of impending RED poop. Yesterday may have been the first time I panicked related to baby poop; thankfully, a quick internet search was able to provide some mental comfort for me.
As far as other updates, we are going to have another team meeting for KEIS (early intervention program) at the beginning of February and will hopefully be adding in physical therapy and occupational therapy services. Elliot is really progressing in his receptive language skills. He's also been using the sign language signs we've been working on more frequently and not in just a mirroring fashion. We don't have any new words yet, but hopefully we continue to see progress with speech.
Based on the progress of our movement on the HCB medicaid waiver waitlist, I anticipate just a few more weeks until we are contacted for a level of care assessment. Fingers crossed we get approved.
Signing off,
One tired mama
